DU Media, an initiative and platform to showcase DU student produced media content developed by University of Denver Assistant Professor Kareem el Damanhoury during Winter Quarter 2020, now has a brand new web site, which launched on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022.

The web site, DU-Media.Com, features hundreds of top news videos, articles and photos created by students in the Department of Media Film & Journalism Studies at the University of Denver.

Prior to the web site launch, DU Media had exclusively a social media presence, with accounts, and student media content, on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/dumedia2020/), Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/dumedia2020/) and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFvAITa-QUeNAspQJTdVxSQ).

“DU Media is open to all University of Denver Media, Film & Journalism Studies students who wish to produce multimedia content and to showcase that content online,” noted el Damanhoury.

The WordPress-based web site was developed by DU MFJS Associate Professor Christof Demont-Heinrich.

“With the site now up, all of the DU MFJS student produced content that was dispersed across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube can all be found in an easy-to-track-down and centrally accessible place,” noted Demont-Heinrich.

DU MFJS students interested in having their multimedia content published on DU-Media.Com can contact DU Media at duMedia2020ATgmail.com.
