Denver’s Mercury Cafe has welcomed poets of all backgrounds, offering them not just a microphone but an extended community beyond its walls for decades. Check out this mini-documentary by DU Media journalists Madeleine Lebovic, Clara Normand and Shaundrea Roberts featuring the lives of three poets for whom slam poetry has been therapeutic!
