Overview
The “80208” storytelling network is a community of volunteer storytellers who collaborate to document compelling stories that concern our communities. We produce podcast episodes and digital stories, mostly related the University of Denver campus. Our name “80208” comes from the United States Zip Code for the university campus, located in Denver, Colorado. We also cover topics in the greater communities of Colorado, the Rocky Mountain Region, and stories about college communities everywhere.
We are a cooperative learning network, designed horizontally to encourage anybody to learn and experiment with storytelling and digital media tools. We encourage everybody to be a storyteller, and to use the 80208 podcast as a starting point to learn digital media workflows, and to participate in creative production and publishing. 80208 is a creative outlet for any community member to produce a story and share with others.
Mission
Our mission is to… compose compelling stories. And also:

Vision
We wish to foster an environment that allows for members of the community to practice their freedom of speech while at the same time recognizing and honoring the differences that are present between members of the community. We hope to welcome strangers and newcomers who are experienced with the craft, have no experience at all, or somewhere in between.
