DU Media journalists Ricoya Black, Lilia Onstott and Antonia Velez take a look at “happiness” in this heart-warming and uplifting video. Their video consists of a series of in-person interviews conducted in the winter of 2022 at the University of Denver. Each interviewee was asked: “What is your definition of happiness?,” and “What makes you happy (personally)?”.
Black, Onstott and Velez took this approach in order to note the many commonalities DU students have as it relates to feeling happy and maintaining their happiness.
Smiles, contagious in nature, are spread by sharing them. That’s why Black, Onstott and Velez created this video that showcases what makes some students in the DU community happy: To help to inspire positive feelings in those who watch it. College students experience high levels of stress on a daily basis, and it can be hard to take care of oneself in the midst of taking care of all the responsibilities. This video is a reminder to make time for whatever it is that makes you happy — you, we all, deserve it! 🙂
